Simple Beef Bolognese Pasta

Ingredients:

- 450 grams minced beef

- 1 medium onion, finely chopped

- 2 cloves of garlic, minced

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 carrot, finely chopped

- 1 celery stalk, finely chopped

- 4 chopped tomatoes

- 2 tablespoons tomato paste

- 1/2 cup beef or vegetable stock

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano / basil / Italian herbs

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

- 450 grams cooked pasta (spaghetti or angel hair)

Instructions:

1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until they become translucent and fragrant.

2. Add the minced beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon or spatula as it cooks.

3. Stir in the carrot and celery, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.

4. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, to the pan. Stir well to combine.

5. Season the mixture with dried oregano, basil, thyme, salt, and pepper. Adjust the seasonings to suit your taste preferences.

6. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the Bolognese sauce simmer for about 30-40 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure the flavors blend together.

7. While the sauce simmers, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

8. Once the Bolognese sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded together, remove it from the heat. Stir in the fresh parsley.

9. Serve the Bolognese sauce over the cooked pasta. Optionally, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top for added flavor.

10. Enjoy your delicious Beef Bolognese!

Note: Bolognese sauce tends to taste even better when allowed to rest for a while before serving. You can refrigerate it overnight and reheat it the next day to deepen the flavors.
